Week of March 2, 2015

 

Dear Parents,

 

REMINDER: FRIDAY IS A HALF DAY. STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 12 NOON.

THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 13 AS WELL AS MONDAY, MARCH 16.

 

Here is an overview of this week:

 

Religion: The children will identify people, pets an things that they would like to thank God for. Praying is a very important way we thank God for all the wonderful people and things in our lives. In “Seeds” we will talk about Sunday’s Gospel and why Jesus was angry with the merchants in the temple. How do we pray?

 

Math: We will learn about the different tools used for measuring weight, height, temperature, circumference and time.

 

Science: We will continue to talk about night animals.

 

Ÿ  SRA READING: Topics will include:

Ÿ  Introduction of the High Frequency Word____can.

Ÿ  Letter and sound of Kk.

We will continue to add beginning consonants to our word families: ug, et, at, ip, an.
