Week of June 1^st, 2015

Dear Parents,

REMINDER: Friday is a half day. All SSJ students will be dismissed at 12 noon.

Here is an overview of this week:

Religion: We will continue to talk about the life of Mary, and learn new Bible stories. We will also be working in our Seeds          workbook, “The Teachings of the Church.”

Math: We will start another BIG BOOK called ‘Short and Tall.”

Science: We will talk about the vulture, wolves and zebras during the next 2 weeks.

SRA READING: Topics will include the following:

Ÿ  Pre-decodables # 17 & 18.

Ÿ  Oral blending of onsets and long I.

Ÿ  Introduce the beginning and ending sounds of Y,V and Z.

Ÿ  Oral Blending .

Ÿ  Developing writing. We will be writing words for a book on     changes.
