Week of March 3, 2014

Dear Parents,

REMINDER: Friday is a FULL DAY of school and Tuesday, March 11, is a half day.

FISH FRY: This Friday is the first Fish Fry of the Lenten Season. The TYKE class is one of the host classes and we need to bring in homemade baked goods for the dessert booth. Please bring your baked goods to Colman Hall on Friday.

ASH WEDNESDAY: The TYKE class will be attending Mass at 11:00 on Wednesday. You are welcome to join us.

Here is an overview of this week:

Religion: We will be talking about the Loaves and Fishes parable and David and Goliath.

Math: We will continue with simple addition.

Animal of the Week: Monkey and the newt.

SRA READING: We will be introducing the letter and sound of Bb, and pre-decodable #11. We will also be adding beginning consonants to ___ig,___ip,___an,___and __-et.

Don’t forget to fill out your child’s Reading Log each night!
