Week of February 17,2014

 

Dear Parents,

 

THANK YOU: Thank you to Teri Thies and her helpers for hosting our  Valentine Celebrations. The children enjoyed doing their craft, refreshments, and passing our their Valentines. It is really a special day for the children.

 

Here is an overview of this week:

 

Religion: Our topic will be “Friends of Jesus.”

 

Math: We will continue with our unit on Geometry, talking about solid shapes.

 

Animals: We will talk about the Lion.

 

SRA READING: We will introduce the beginning and ending sound of Ll and  Nn and add beginning consonants to ___an and ____ip.

We will talk about the meaning of a “setting” in a story and discriminate separate syllables in words.
