Dear Parents,

THANK YOU: Thank you to Theresa Vu who spoke to us about the Lunar new Year last week. The children enjoyed seeing all her decorations and taking turns wearing the Lion Head and playing the drum. The red envelopes were a special treat.

REMINDER: Friday is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 12 noon.

SLA’S: Please return the signed yellow envelope this week. If you have any concerns about your child’s report or their progress, please schedule a conference with me. I am available most days at 3:10 and in the mornings at 7:15.

SRA READING: We are moving at a very fast pace in our reading program. This week we will be talking about the beginning and ending sounds of Hh and Nn as well as the word families of ___ig and ____an. We will also be introducing a new predecodable and the High Frequency Word___I.  It is very important that you review these words and letters at home. Reading every day helps your child to become a fluent reader.

VALENTINE PARTY: We will be having a Valentine Party on February 14. Please have your child sign their cards, but DO NOT have them write names on the envelopes. This way they can just drop them in the bags.
