Week of January 26,2014

Dear Parents,

OPEN HOUSE: It was great seeing all of you at Open House on Sunday. It is a very special day for the children and I was so pleased you made the effort to attend!

SLA’s: You child will be bring home their SLA (report card) on Friday. Be sure to sign the envelope and return it. You keep the PE report and SLA at home. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress or our curriculum, please schedule a conference with me.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL’S WEEK: This is Catholic Schools Week, and each day has a different activity or dress. Please check the school website each day to find out what will be happening the following day. Student Council will be spinning a wheel at dismissal time to determine what we will be doing the next day.

BUBBLE SHOW AND DINNER:

Your child will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious dinner with their teacher and be entertained by the “Bubblemania Show” on Friday, February 7, at 5:30 P.M. in Colman Hall.

Seats can be purchased for $200 each and 100% of the purchase price will be credited towards your fundraising fee. See Kandy Luzzi in the school accounting office if you are interested.

Here is an overview of this week:

Religion: We will continue to talk about the Holy Family.

Animal of the Week: We will finish talking about the farm animals.

SRA READING: We will be introducing the High Frequency Word______at and the beginning and ending sounds of Pp, and Dd. We will be adding beginning sounds to _____ug.(our second Word Family.
