Week of October 8, 2013

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful time at the Festival. We appreciate all the parents who sent in baked goods, and worked at the booths or Café SSJ.

FAMILY PHOTO: Thank you to all the parents who sent in a family picture. If you have not done so already, please send one in so we can have all children represented on our Family Bulletin Board. You can swap out your picture if you have a picture done for a Christmas card at a later date since the board will be up for most of the year.

TUESDAY FOLDER: Be sure to read all of the flyers in your child’s folder today.

Here is an overview of this week:

Religion: We will be talking about “The Good Shepherd” Bible story.

Animal of the Week: We will continue with insects as well as the Camel and Deer.

Math: We will talk about the concepts of more and fewer.

SRA READING: We will continue with rhyming and identifying spaces between words in a sentence. We will be stepping to the number of words in a sentence. Pre-decodable 1 will be coming home in their folders today. Please keep it in a safe place and have your child describe what is happening in the pictures. We will be reviewing the word “a.”
