Week of September 30,2013

Dear Parents,

FAMILY PHOTO: Thank you to all the families who have sent in a family photo. If you have not done so already, please send in one. You can swap it out later if you get a Christmas photo in December.

 

HALF DAY: Friday is a half day and school will be dismissed at 12 noon. Children who are not picked up promptly, will be sent to Stay Care. PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO PARK THROUGHOUT THIS WEEK AS OUR FESIVAL RIDES WILL BE OCCUPYING MANY PARKING SPACES.

THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY TO ALLOW FESTIVAL CLEAN-UP.

 

FESTIVAL BAKE BOOTH: Please support our school’s Café SSJ by sending in baked goods, and purchasing some when you attend the Festival.

 

Here is an overview of this week:

 

Religion: Our topic will be : Each child is created by God and is unique and special.

Animal of the Week: Camel and Deer.

Nursery Rhyme: We will continue to review all Nursery Rhymes.

 

SRA READING: Topics will include:

Ÿ  Determine individual and paired sounds.

Ÿ  Identify words in a sentence and spaces between words.

Ÿ  INTRODUCE OUR FIRST HIGH FREQUENCY WORD;___a.

Ÿ  INTRODUCE OUR FIRST PRE-DECODABLE.
