Week of November 5,2012

Dear Parents,

THANK YOU: Thank you to Cristina Botas and her helpers for hosting our Halloween party. The children had a wonderful time. We appreciate all the parents who sent in supplies and food items also.

SPANISH:  Cristina Botas, our Room Mom, is teaching our students Spanish on Tuesdays at 2:15. The children have learned to say most of their colors in Spanish and are working on greetings. They look forward to their lesson with great anticipation. If possible, try not to pick your child up at 2:00 on Tuesdays.

CONFERENCES: If you have not signed up for a parent teacher conference, please do so soon! Sign up sheets are posted on a table near the school office. We will be having half days  on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Friday will be a regular day.

Here is an overview of this week:

Religion: We are watching a Diocesan DVD on the Mass and we will be learning about the different things used during the Mass.

Math: We will be talking about numbers 10-20.

Animal of the Week: Goose and Hippo.

SRA READING: We will be introducing Predecodable #5 and talking about the letters  Ll, Mm and Nn.

Have a great week !
