Week of November 5,2012
Dear Parents,
THANK YOU: Thank you to Cristina Botas
and her helpers for hosting our Halloween party. The children had a wonderful
time. We appreciate all the parents who sent in supplies and food items also.
SPANISH:
Cristina Botas, our Room Mom, is teaching our students Spanish on
Tuesdays at 2:15. The children have learned to say most of their colors in
Spanish and are working on greetings. They look forward to their lesson with
great anticipation. If possible, try not to pick your child up at 2:00 on
Tuesdays.
CONFERENCES: If you have not signed up
for a parent teacher conference, please do so soon! Sign up sheets are posted
on a table near the school office. We will be having half days on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of
next week. Friday will be a regular day.
Here is an overview of this week:
Religion:
We are watching a Diocesan DVD on the Mass and we will be learning about the
different things used during the Mass.
Math: We
will be talking about numbers 10-20.
Animal of the Week: Goose
and Hippo.
SRA READING: We will be introducing
Predecodable #5 and talking about the letters
Ll, Mm and Nn.
