Week of May 25, 2015

Dear Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend. I cannot believe we are so close to the end of our school year!

MATH TESTING: We are testing the children on number recognition 1-40. We are finding that many of the children are transposing their number (e.g. they are calling 13 number 31. Please work with your child at home this week. We will retest them on Friday.

SIGHT WORDS: We will be testing them on all of the 20 words they should know for this year. Look at my website to see a list of all the words.

Here is an overview of this week:

Religion : We will continue to learn new Bible stories and watch the accompanying videos.

Science: We will be talking about the tiger, vulture, wolf, fox and zebra. We continue to talk about insects also.

SRA READING: Topics will include:

Ÿ  Review of all 20 of our sight words.

Review of all the sounds of the alphabet emphasizing the sound of Qq, and long e.
