Week of March 23, 2015
Dear Parents,
RETREAT: The TYKERS will participate in a
school wide retreat this Thursday, March 26. The day will begin with Mass at
8:15 and will include a meeting with our “school family,” a craft, singing and
conclude with a prayer service. Cheese pizza will be served to all the students
at lunch. If your child does not like cheese pizza, please send in a lunch with
them. They will need to bring a snack for our morning break.
EASTER PARTY: The TYKE class will be
having an Easter Egg Hunt next week. Please send in 10 plastic eggs filled with
nonfood/candy items. Some good choices are stickers, small toys,
pennies, bubbles etc. Please send in an Easter basket with your child that is
large enough to collect 10 eggs. A paper Easter bag works too.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS: The TYKE class
will be attending Stations of the Cross on Friday. The 8th grade will be acting
them out and it is truly special for the children to see this before Easter
Sunday. If you must check your child early, be sure you go to the office and
sign them out BEFORE 1:45.
Here is an overview of our week:
Religion: Our lessons this week will
focus on Palm Sunday. The children will recognize ways of welcoming people and
understand the importance of preparing for a welcoming event.
Math: We will continue to focus on
fraction readiness and learn the meaning of most, least, and half.
Science: We will talk about the Panda
bear.
