Week of November 17, 2014

 

Dear Parents,

 

REMINDER: This is conference week and we will be dismissing at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please be prompt picking up your child. Children will be walked down to Stay Care if a parent/grandparent is not here at noon. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you.

 

Here is an overview of this week:

 

Religion: We will be talking about how they say “Thank You” to God. Our “Seeds” lesson will focus on Sunday’s Gospel and the children will recognize the human need for, and right to food, clothing, shelter, and love.

 

Math: We will estimate tallest/shortest children and objects and graph them.

 

Science: We will talk about the Ibex and Jaguar.

 

Ÿ  SRA READING: Topics for this week will include:

Ÿ  Continuation of our unit on “Community Helpers.”

Ÿ  Completing rhyming sentence.

Ÿ  Poems and rhymes.

Ÿ  With prompting and support, ask and answer key details in a text.

Ÿ  Use rebus cards and High Frequency Words.
