Week of September 16, 2013

 

Dear Parents,

 

It was great seeing all of you at Back To School Night. If you ever have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress or our curriculum, please email me and I will try to answer you that day.

 

FAMILY PHOTO: We will be starting a  new SRA unit on families. Please send in a family photo for our bulletin board. A Christmas card photo is fine. We would like them by next week if possible and we will be keeping them up until January, at least.

 

PARISH FESTIVAL:  Our parish festival is coming soon! Remember you can purchase pre-sale ride tickets at the parish office and save money!

 

Here is an overview of this week:

        Religion: Our topic will be : Jesus is our friend and wants us to be friends with each other.

        Animal of the Week: Bears.

        Math: We will continue to work on patterns and reinforce our learning by completing several papers independently.

        Nursery Rhymes: We will continue learning the rhymes that are on the paper in your packet.

SRA Reading: Some of our objectives for this week are:

Ÿ  Identify our name necklace.

Ÿ  Identify rhyming words in a poem.

Ÿ  Review the meaning of author, illustrator, and table of contents.
