Week of March 4, 2013

 

Dear Parents,

 

INTENT TO RETURN: Your Intent to Return form is enclosed in the Family Gray Envelope which is coming home today. Please return it as soon as you can so the school can get an accurate count for the classes in September. You will receive a formal registration packet at a later date. PLEASE read Mrs. Smith’s eletter for more details.

 

DENIM DAY: Friday is Denim Day. Bring $1 if you would like to participate.Denim does not have to be blue!

 

EASTER EGG HUNT: We will be having an Egg Hunt on Wednesday, March 28. Please have your child bring in 8 plastic eggs filled with non-edible items. (stickers, small toys etc.) You do not have to send them in until the week of the Hunt.

 

ST. PATRICK’S PARTY: We will be having a St. Patrick’s Party and will be talking about the country of Ireland. We would enjoy having a parent or Grandparent talk to us about the Irish culture if possible. Let me know if you are interested.

 

Here is an overview of this week

        Religion: We will be talking about the Gospel which will be read next Sunday.

        Animal of the Week: Newt.

        Nursery Rhyme: “Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater.”

SRA READING: We will be having the children complete several papers this week where they will have to distinguish the beginning and ending sounds we have covered so far. Please review their sounds at home as well as their sight words. We will also introduce the sound of Gg.
