Week of January 28,2012

 

Dear Parents,

It was great seeing all of you at Open House. I hope you were able to look at all the children’s work in the other grades as well as TYKE.

 

Here is an overview of this week:

         Religion: We will talk about next Sunday’s Gospel.

        Animals: We will finish up with Farm Animals

 

SRA READING: We will review the sounds of Hh, Mm, Pp, Ss, Dd, Tt and Nn. We will learn a new High Frequency Word, _______I. We will be adding beginning consonants to ____an and ____ig. Please practice these sounds and words at home to help your child become a fluent reader.

 

SLA”S (aka report cards) will be coming home on Friday. Please email me to schedule a conference if you have any concerns about your child’s progress or our curriculum.

 

TYKE parents do not need to attend the kindergarten registration meeting on Feb. 5  unless you have a sibling coming into TYKE. Registration packets for next year will be sent home after Kindergarten registration. Read the Principal’s letter each week to find out the date.
