Week of May 28, 2012
Dear Parents,
THANK YOU: Thank you to Heather Akoubian
and her helpers for hosting our Vegetable Party. The children ate very well and
many of them were surprised they LIKED some veggies they had never tried
before. We appreciate all the parents who sent in food and supplies also.
THANK YOU: Thank you to all the parents
who sent in flowers for Teacher Appreciation Week. They were all beautiful and
I enjoyed them all week! Having lunch
brought in on Wednesday was a real treat for me!
I appreciate your thoughtfulness and
generosity.
ANIMAL ALPHABET PLAY: Our play is THIS
FRIDAY! On the day of the play you will need to bring your child in costume at
7:50. You and your guests may return later for our 9:00 performance which will
be in Mrs. Andrew’s room. (2 doors down from ours.) After the performance we
will have light refreshments in our “back yard.” Please let Heather Akoubian know how many
guests you will be bringing so she can determine the amount of food needed if
you have not done so already. If you have borrowed a costume from me please
have your child change into their own clothes BEFORE eating. They do not need
to change if it is your own costume. You may take your child home after having
refreshments if you like. If you have to return to work, and need Stay Care,
which will open at 12:00 that day, I will keep your child with me. Please tell
me before you leave if they will be staying. Also, I ask that the Dads fold up
the chairs and stack them outside the front classroom door and bring the tables
back into the classroom. Mr. Duchene, our maintenance man would appreciate it.
The children are very excited about their play. We have already performed for
the kindergartens and 3rd grade.
Here is an overview of the week:

also.
Please return all Library books to the
classroom or Library. Report cards will
not be sent home until this is done. If
you are interested in checking out books during the summer, summer family reading
passes are available in the Library, and online.
See you on Friday!
