Week of April 16,2012
Dear Parents,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a relaxing Easter break. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress or our curriculum, please schedule a conference with me.
“ANIMAL ALPHABET PLAY” The TYKE class will be presenting our “Animal Alphabet” play on Friday, June 1, a half day. Mrs. Andrew’s has graciously offered her classroom for our performance. It is very spacious and we should have plenty of room for our audience. I will be assigning your child their part in the next couple of weeks. They will need to memorize their lines and become very familiar with the words to our songs. I am sure you can download the music. I will be sending home more information as we get closer to June 1st. We will have one performance at 9:00 A.M which will last @ 20 minutes. Refreshments will be served in our “backyard” following the play. I have some costumes that former students have donated, but not enough for the entire class. I will be posting pictures on my inside bulletin board of former students so you can get ideas.
THANK YOU: Thank you to Heather Akoubian and her helpers who hosted our Easter Celebration. The children had a great time hunting for eggs. We also appreciate all the parents who sent in supplies and food.
Here is an overview of this week:
Religion: “Jesus Wants Us to Love.”
Animal of the Week: Owls and newts.
SRA READING: We will be introducing the word-__with and the letters Yy and Ww.
Have a great week!
