Dear Parents,
THANK YOU: We want to thank Mr. Saldana, Mr. Turner and Mr. Solorzano for visiting our class and talking to us about the importance of fire safety at home The children enjoyed seeing the firefighting gear and hearing about the work our firefighters do to keep us safe.
We want to thank the parents of Jayvin Le for donating a new bicycle and tricycle for our back play area. We appreciate their thoughtfulness and generosity!
OPEN HOUSE: Sts. Simon & Jude School will be hosting their Open House on Sunday, January 29, AFTER the 9:15 Mass. Thank you to the Moms who volunteered to hang our artwork that morning.
SWEATSHIRTS: Please make sure you write your child’s name on their sweatshirt label. I have a sharpie if you need one. I remind them to put them IN their backpacks, but they are frequently left on the floor and no one claims them.
SNACKS: Your child needs to bring a snack EVERY day, even if they order a hot lunch. We do not keep extra food in the classroom. Please remember to send a spoon or fork if they need one for their snack.
The starting time for TYKE is 7:45. Please try to bring your child ON TIME. If the door is closed, you will need to go to the Health Room for a tardy slip.

SRA Reading: We will be introducing the new High Frequency Word____I, and the letters and sounds of Hh, and Tt. We will be adding beginning consonants to the endings of __ig, and __an. Please practice these concepts at home.
