Week of April 29, 2014
Dear Parents,
I hope you had a nice and relaxing Easter
Break. It is hard to believe we have so few weeks left of school!
ANIMAL ALPHABET PLAY: Our play will be
THIS Friday, May 2nd, at 9:00 in Mrs. Tucker’s classroom. Please
bring your child to school at 7:50, dressed in their costume. Face painting will be provided. You may leave
your child, and return for the performance.
When our play is finished please help to
bring in the tables from outside and fold up the chairs and put them outside
the classroom. Then Mrs. Tucker can finish her day in her own room.
Please leave your costumes with me if you
borrowed one. You may take your child home with you, or leave them with me. I
will be taking them to the school May Crowning at 11:00. Since it is also a
half day, I will send any remaining children to Stay Care at 12:00 noon.
The children are very excited about this
special day. Continue to have them practice saying their poem slowly and in a loud voice. See me if you
have any questions about the day’s schedule.
Here is an overview of this week:
Religion: We will be talking about Mary,
the Mother of Jesus, and the May Crowning.
Animal of the Week: Panda
Math: We will continue to write our
numbers to 50.
SRA READING: We will be introducing the
letter and sound of Xx. (We will be talking about it as an ending sound.) We
will review our new word___she.
See you on Friday.
