Dear Parents,
SCARECROWS: Our scarecrow heads are almost finished, so I will be sending a note home soon to send in your supplies. Please put the following items in a bag labeled with your child’s name; a long sleeved shirt, a pair of jeans or overalls, a hat, a wire hangar, newspaper for stuffing and a few large safety pins. All clothes should be in your child’s size or smaller. DO NOT SEND IT IN UNTIL YOU GET A DEFINITE DATE FROM ME. We do not have room to store 25 bags.
HALLOWEEN PARTY: The children will NOT be wearing costumes to school. They may do that at Trunk or Treat which is the Friday evening before Halloween.
Here is an overview of this week:
Religion: We will continue to talk about saints, Bible
Stories and God’s gift of animals.
Animal of the Week: Camel
Nursery Rhyme: “Little Bo Peep.”
SRA: We will be introducing the word--the, as our second High Frequency Word. We will also be talking about the difference between small and capital letters. Please have your child practice recognizing both small and capital letters at home. Flashcards with both sizes on separate cards will help your child learn them out of sequence.
Please send in your family photo if you have not done so already. Thank you to those who have sent it in. Our board is looking good and it is nice for the children to see their family picture.
Have a great week!
